Exam Preparation Tips
Build a study schedule, identify weak areas, and start systematic coverage of the entire syllabus. Don't rush — consistency beats cramming.
Shift to practice papers and previous year questions. Identify gaps and fill them with targeted study. Time your practice tests.
Focus only on revision, formulae sheets, and important topics. Get adequate sleep — memory consolidation happens during sleep. Avoid new topics.
Frequently asked questions
Do the countdowns update in real time?
Yes. All exam countdowns on this page update every second using JavaScript's setInterval. The page must remain open for the countdown to continue updating. Refreshing the page will reload your entered exams (they are stored in the page session, not in your browser storage).
What happens when the exam time passes?
When the exam date and time have passed, the countdown displays "Exam Over" instead of a countdown. If no time was entered, the exam is considered over at midnight on the exam date.
Can I add more than 5 exams?
The tool supports up to 5 simultaneous countdowns to keep the interface clean and readable. For managing a full semester schedule, use the Study Hours Planner alongside this timer.
How do I use this timer effectively?
Add your most important upcoming exams immediately. Seeing the countdown actively ticking creates urgency and helps with time management. Pair this with the Study Hours Planner to know exactly how many hours per day you need for each exam.
Why does the countdown show different days than I expected?
The countdown calculates the exact time difference from right now (your local computer time) to the exam date and time you entered. If you didn't enter a time, it counts down to midnight (00:00) on the exam date. Enter the actual exam start time for a precise countdown.
